Our History

1980s - The decade that saw irrevocable changes in the Indian Industrial and Banking sectors, leading to the founding of some of India's biggest companies. At the very beginning of the landmark decade, Mr. Najmuddin Deesawala ventured into powering India's Infrastructure needs with Essen group of companies.

Essen group was founded in 1980 as a humble reseller for hardware tools and ancillary equipment in Chennai, India. Today it is one of the more renowned wholesalers and distributors in South India, for Abrasives, Power Tools and other related industrial needs across all major industries, like Construction, Leather, Automobiles, Fabrication, Foundries and Rolling Mills.

Essen’s clientele spans across key Asian countries like India and Bangladesh and over its four-decade long presence, it has emerged as a critical ally for conglomerates like Carborundum Universal Group (CUMI), whose entire product range it currently distributes.
